Pancake Breakfast Sponsored by Sunshine Summit Fire Department

The Sunshine Summit Volunteer Fire Department, 35227 Highway 79 south in Warner Springs, is sponsoring a pancake breakfast at the station from 9 a.m. to noon on April 28.

There will be several presentations that morning.

Phil Patton, president of the department's board, will dedicate a memorial bench in appreciation of Sue Clark, past board secretary who died in November. Clark was also one of the founders of the fire station. The bench was designed and created by Nick Poschl, vice president of the board.

Also, Margee Rader, a creative artist of succulents from Bonsall, has donated a Living Succulent Topiary Handbag to acknowledge Clark. The item will be placed to coincide with the Fire Wise Garden.

Nina Karavaselis, Fire Safe Council president, will have the unveiling of the newly installed garden, which will be a learning tool for residents and school children in the area to come and see.
